The Camp des Loges, also known as the Ooredoo Training Centre for sponsorship reasons, is a sports complex located in Saint-Germain-en-Laye. The current version of the Camp des Loges officially opened on 4 November 2008. It is the second to have been built on the site, the first opening its doors in 1904.

The sports complex has been the training centre of Paris Saint-Germain since the club's foundation in 1970, as well as playing host to the Paris Saint-Germain Academy since its opening on 4 November 1975. In July 2016, PSG chose Poissy as the site of its future performance centre, baptised Campus Paris Saint-Germain, which is scheduled to open at the start of the 2019-20 season.

History

The first Camp des Loges officially opened on 21 June 1904. Originally, it was a military camp reserved for soldiers of the French Army. In 1970, following the merger of football teams Paris FC and Stade Saint-Germain to form Paris Saint-Germain, it became the club's training centre.

At the same time, the sports complex hosts the Paris Saint-Germain Academy, which opened on 4 November 1975 with the purpose of training young players. The pitch of the Camp des Loges is also the home stadium of the club's CFA and youth teams.

The construction of a new Camp des Loges began in January 2008. The first stone was laid in July 2008 and it was completed in October 2008. At a cost of 5 million euros, the new training centre was officially inaugurated on 4 November 2008.

In 2013, Paris Saint-Germain announced their sponsorship deal with international communications company Ooredoo. As part of the agreement, the Camp des Loges was renamed the Ooredoo Training Centre.

Future

The capital club began looking for a new training ground in 2013, as the Camp des Loges had become inadequate for the team activities. Poissy, Saint-Germain-en-Laye and Thiverval-Grignon were considered for the future training camp.

In July 2016, Paris Saint-Germain chose Poissy as the site of its future performance centre, baptised Campus Paris Saint-Germain, which is scheduled to open at the start of the 2019-20 season. A tender process for the construction of the centre was immediately launched by the club. The complete project will be presented in December 2016.

The 74-hectare site in Poissy will host the Men's football and Handball teams of the club, as well as the Paris Saint-Germain Academy. Located 20 minutes from the Parc des Princes, the Campus Paris Saint-Germain is linked to Paris by two different routes. In addition to its proximity to the capital, it also boasts a large highly advantageous area.

PSG will remain closely linked to Saint-Germain-en-Laye, the club's historic birthplace. The 900 members of the Paris Saint-Germain Association will continue to use the facilities at the Camp des Loges, as the training complex will now host the Women's football team.
